For those who don't remember, Byrd was tied behind a truckand dragged to his death by three white trash POS in a small East Texas town that either had a long-standing history of severe racism or was close to one that did, I can't remember off-hand. I forget the name of the town, but I heard a woman say she was from there a few weeks ago and my head tuened around on a swivel expecting to see the KKK incarnate until I saw she was African American... Um she put the passage of the National Hate Crimes law in 2009 up and talked in detail about James Byrd and also mentioned Matthew Shepard and how their cases were the cornerstone on which the law was built. THEN, she started rambling about George Zimmerman I tuned out because the inference was drawn by reporting this before discussing the Civil Rights case that should be brought against Zimmerman according to low information liberals.

She didn't equate the two cases. What she did was explain how the Byrd case brought about legislation that could impact the Zimmerman case.

The DOJ can look at evidence that wasn't allowed in the Florida courts and determine whether or not this was a hate crime.
