The national college football 2013 preseason ‘watch list’ teams are rolling out, and the Cincinnati Bearcats have several players listed:

–Senior linebacker Greg Blair (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley/Lackawanna CC) was named to the preseason watch lists for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Bednarik Award.

The Nagurski Trophy is presented annually to the national defensive player of the year by the FWAA and the Charlotte Touchdown Club. The Bednarik Award has been presented to the College Defensive Player of the Year since 1995 by the Maxwell Football Club.

Blair was first team All-Big East in 2012. He ranked 12th nationally, leading UC and the Big East with 138 tackles, averaging 10.6 per game.

–Kicker Tony Miliano (Elder HS) was one of 30 student-athletes named to the 2013 Lou Groza Award watch list, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced.

Miliano, a junior-to-be, averaged 7.5 points per game, leading UC and the Big East in 2012. He finished 17-of-22 on field goals and 51-of-53 on point-after tries for 102 points.

–Offensive linemen Austen Bujnoch (Elder HS) and Eric Lefeld (Coldwater, Ohio/Coldwater) were named to the watch list for the 2013 Outland Trophy, the Football Writers Association of America announced.

The UC duo appears among 75 players on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the best interior lineman in college football.

Both Bujnoch (senior-to-be) and Lefeld (junior-to-be) earned First-Team All- Big East honors in 2012. They helped lead an offensive line that paved the way for a 1,000-yard rusher for the third-straight year while surrendering only 13 sacks, which ranked in the Top-20 in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision.
