2013 Season Prediction
Pitt will be a better FB team this year for sure. However, the overall competition will be stiffer. Pitt will definitely not be the fastest team in the ACC; however, if it can build strong OL/DL players with size, strength and short area speed, then I think Pitt will surprise a few teams in the ACC with power. Here are my predictions:
  • FSU - Loss, not enough speed plus team cohesion will probably not be there 100%
  • New Mexico - Win based on better coaching and better talent.
  • Duke - should be a win since they are traditionally bad
  • Virginia - I'm predicting a win, but is probably a toss up right now.
  • VT - I'm predicting a win simply because Beamer seems to have a Pitt monkey on his back...
  • ODU - win because of better talent plus coaching will be better
  • Navy - Should be a win, but possibly they get hosed up by the triple option.
  • GT - I'm predicting a win since GT screwed the pooch bad last year plus 2nd week of seeing the triple option will be beneficial.
  • Notre Dame - Loss due to superior talent
  • UNC - I'm saying this will be a push. Both teams trying to find their way back to football prominence.
  • Syracuse - I'm predicting a win since I believe Chryst will have the players better coached this time around.
  • Miami - Loss due to superior athletes on UM's side.

I think we will see 7-5 or 8-4 this upcoming season.

Hokies playing at home AND in revenge? Sorry, that's NOT a win for Pitt.

RE: 2013 Season Prediction
Pitt should go 12-0 or at a minimum of 10-2 because of FSU and ND... I mean, there are no Big 10 teams like PSU, OSU, Michigan, etc. The ACC sucks!

RE: 2013 Season Prediction
Now that that is out of the way, my prediction is 6-6.... 8-4 would be GREAT! I might revise my prediction though after camp but before the FSU game.

  • FSU - Loss, not enough speed plus team cohesion will probably not be there 100% agree
  • New Mexico - Win based on better coaching and better talent. agree
  • Duke - should be a win since they are traditionally bad Agree that we win but they are much better and better coached than they have in quite a while. I wouldn't take them lightly.
  • Virginia - I'm predicting a win, but is probably a toss up right now. agree
  • VT - I'm predicting a win simply because Beamer seems to have a Pitt monkey on his back... Disagree, they aren't going to lose to us all the time, they are at home, we lose
  • ODU - win because of better talent plus coaching will be better agree
  • Navy - Should be a win, but possibly they get hosed up by the triple option. agree
  • GT - I'm predicting a win since GT screwed the pooch bad last year plus 2nd week of seeing the triple option will be beneficial. I have a bad feeling about this one
  • Notre Dame - Loss due to superior talent agree
  • UNC - I'm saying this will be a push. Both teams trying to find their way back to football prominence. I think we win a close one at home
  • Syracuse - I'm predicting a win since I believe Chryst will have the players better coached this time around. agree
  • Miami - Loss due to superior athletes on UM's side.agree

I think we will see 7-5 or 8-4 this upcoming season.

I see 6-6 or 7-5 at best. Would be ecstatic if we went 8-4.
