I'm assuming the bold portion is why he put black in quotation marks.

Will is a graduate of the University of Memphis, last bastion (according to many around the nation) of rednecks and thugs. Pretty enlightened take for either.

The person was mistaken, Jeremy plays for Aris which is a mid level team. Will played for Kavala who finished last. In Greece, it is basically Panthiacos and Olympiacos and the rest are just fodder for them.
