Don't understand all the love for Rice this year. I think it will be hard for Rice to go above 0.500 in conference and their coach will be gone if that happens.

well they bowled last yr and beat Air Force 20 points and return almost the whole team....thats three fair reasons for the love

Yeah, I usually side with Myerberg, who is not high on Rice, but they won 6 of there last 7 games last year and return a good portion of the squad so I think they are primed for a big year.

This part is wrong.

Quote: and their coach will be gone if that happens.

This part is right.

You're probably right about the last part of your statement, but I'm not sure why Rice isn't favored over Tulsa in the preseason. We don't have ECU or Marshall on our schedule and we return a ton more than Tulsa. And even though we have to go there again this year, we had that game won last year outside of that huge run by your running back late in the contest.

"Oct. 31: Rice at North Texas — Thursday night football and Halloween night does a Texas two-step on these two north Texas teams. Rice leads the overall series two games to one."

Not that this guy ever had any, but he lost all credibility with me as soon as he put Houston in north Texas. It's hard to figure who would be the most P___sed off by that -- the good folks of Dallas or the otherwise folks of Houston.
