Ranking QBs in mid-major conferences
As analyzed by FANIQ

The MAC rankings are a little suspect IMO

Is Lynch a Sr? Boucher shouldn't be that low IMO.

Yep, Lynch is a senior. Hard to believe they had him backing up some bum named, uh, Harnoosh? for a couple years. Boucher should be one of the top five. He's been around for, like, ten years.

It seems like a long time ago but Boucher and Eric Page were Amstutz's early recruits just before he ended his tenure as UT's coach.

How can Boucher only be a junior? If he was recruited by Amstutz (his final season was 2008) he would have to be a senior this coming season (09,10,11,12,13) - which assumes he was redshirted one of those years.

Eric Page would be a redshirt senior for UT this year if he had stayed at UT and redshirted last year when injured. Possibly Boucher got a sixth year because of an injury.

That hurts my brain. The Page decision still ranks high on my WTF-o-meter...

Best wishes to him, though.

I don't think they know anything about Boucher. I'd put him quite a bit higher. Maybe I'm biased because that jerk beat us in 2010.

RE: Ranking QBs in mid-major conferences
I know these things are "just for fun" but I won't even open the link. This type of thing just perpetuates the perception of a massive BCS vs Mid-Major (be it football or basketball) divide.

This type of article implies that the QB from Duke or Minnesota or Washington State is way better than the QB's from Troy or Fresno State or Toledo.

Contrary to the media rhetoric the difference isn't as great as they would want you to believe.
