That will be a great collection of teams for that bowl considering its location.

Temple, ECU, Navy

4 NC ACC schools + UVA, VT

Hopefully the AAC representative is Navy for 5 of the 6 years. Even if it's an automatic home game for Navy, this would be the absolute best team that the AAC could provide for this bowl.

Good this is a good bowl for ECU, especially now that it moved out of that dump RFK and into one of my favorite stadiums. ECU will consistently draw huge to this game when invited and several others in the league will as well.

I think ECU would draw well as well.

Frequent appearances (say 50% of the time) would be fine, but year after year after year appearances by the same team in the same bowl pleases no one. The team involved will want more variety, the bowl will want more variety, local fans will want more variety.

I can see it being tough to get a ticket to this game sometimes. It only holds 34K.

Makes total sense with these two conferences having the most schools in close proximity.

I think ECU would draw well as well.

We had over 15k at that dump RFK to watch a 6-6 team play. To watch what would likely have to be a much better team play in a much better location we'd do better. If it was ECU-NC State or UNC in that game there wouldn't be a ticket to be found.

Actually I think Pitt fans enjoy Birmingham. Thank you very much! 03-lmfao

Seriously, I love this set up...Annapolis is a great venue for a minor bowl.

I think ECU (and Navy) will fill the 35K or so stadium for a 6-6 BC or Wake Forest, never mind ECU getting a shot at UNC or NCSU or Virginia in a bowl.

We played NC State in a bowl once:

Oh I agree that game would be sold out for ECU vs just about any ACC team, I was just saying if it were 1 of those 2 it would be sold out and you'd have secondary sites selling the tickets for probably double the price.

RE: Brett McMurphy tweets: AAC, ACC sign Military Bowl
The question now is if St. Pete is going to be the AAC vs. ACC/CUSA what is the other game that the ACC is going to rotate out of?

Could the new game in Miami also be AAC vs. ACC/CUSA. The ACC wants to go 10 tie-ins deep (15 mouths to feed).

Here are some tweets from early last month on the ACC lineup.

Quote:Jeremy Fowler ‏@JFowlerCBS 10m
$ACC bowl lineup almost done. Top six set, per source: Orange, Russell Ath, Music City/Gator (rotation), Belk, Pinstripe, Sun.

Jeremy Fowler ‏@JFowlerCBS 9m
ACC expects to select three of these four bottom-tier bowls: Detroit, Military, AdvoCare, Liberty. That would make a nine-bowl lineup in 14-19

The Military Bowl makes 7 and then St. Pete is 7.5. Could they be rotating with CUSA in the Independence Bowl?
