Would love to see the series restart with Tenn. The year we beat them at the Field House in '96 and had a rematch in the NCAA championship was top notch women's basketball.

That's when I became a fan oh and it was in January 97 they beat tenn in the field house but the 96-97 season
We beat Tenn, Uconn, and a bunch of other great teams that year.

I believe that we beat #1 Stanford twice that year, once in the Final Four.

And Purdue in the s16. I believe ODU was actually ranked #1 in the nation for a while that season. Ah the good ol days. Seems like just a few years ago to me, has it really been 20?!?

Feels like an eternity but the field house was rocking back then. To be fair our team in 2007 was pretty good and finished in top 10. I felt that we could of made it to the Final Four if it wasnt for UCONN being in our way, that team was just dominant.

Agree the 2nd half we were toe to toe with UConn. The game for the Sweet 16 at the Ted vs UVa was a GREAT basketball game, so full and loud. Little Jazzy, with the big heart.

The 2007-2008 year was the last year we went to ncaas

Little jazz and her shot to win the game against UVA was awesome

RE: Womens's Basketball recruiting
It may be Ajah Wayne a 2018 wing, she was just on campus. She came off an injury and took the AL state 6A POY.

"Ajah Wayne -2018 – Forward – Homewood – (AL)
Have you ever heard the saying, “the quiet ones are the ones you most have to be aware of/fear,” or something to that effect? Well, Wayne embodies that statement. She’s soft spoken and at first glance appears just to be another ball player. Not quite. Blow the whistle, toss up the ball, stand/sit back and watch the transformation. She instantly goes into “ferocious mode.” Not wild and crazy but, I won’t be denied getting the job done mode. She’s active all over the court, baseline to baseline, and sideline to sideline. Her motor is in constant overdrive (controlled of course). The sophomore has good handles and moves well without the ball, which allows her to roam the floor and find the open spots to score. She above average inside (back to bucket), and outside (face-up) game, with the ability to take you off the dribble. Excellent foot movement on defense, allows her to defend in the open-court. Aggressively and successfully hits the boards on both ends of the court with great success."

She was offered by ODU in JULY.

Her HS team also won AL state championship and she was named MVP. Hopefully we got her.

@NikkiMccray15: Having a great time with our special guests this weekend.#monarchwbb

I'm guessing we may of had a couple of recruits on campus this weekend. We'll soon see.

Sounds good to me. Let's welcome Ajah Wayne to the Lady Monarchs. Another high energy, tough recruit.

She also had offers from Georgia, Memphis and Southern Miss.
