I'm sure NIU's OB appearance is helping DD recruit..."I got NIU to the BCS...I will do the same for NCState"

RE: NS St 2014 Recruiting 21 verbals
I believe they only got one guy from Illinois. I don't think there will be much competition with them for recruits as they are going after different types of players from different areas. Not too many kids from the midwest will want to go all the way to NC State to play football.

The sad part continues to be if Doeren had stayed 2 more weeks and coached in our bowl game he would be the head coach at Wisconsin right now without a doubt. Then we would have been in direct competition for recruits with him. Not to mention he would have poached even more of our staff. So in the end his leaving when he did worked for our benefit.

Not true, I've talked with several people who are Wisconsin fans and listened to many interviews with experts on that topic. Doeren was a Bielema guy and with Bielema not getting along with Alvarez. He wasn't as popular there as we thought. They wanted a non-Bielema hire, Doeren may have been in the talks but I doubt he would've landed it, the NC State move looks better and better for him the more and more I think about it. Wish him the best.

Plus Barry, and I think Bielima called out Doeren when he left saying that they were glad to coach with the coaches that stuck around.

If that's true about Bielema, find it hard to believe, thats ridiculous. That's the mark of a great leader, when you are having success and developing a great staff guys are going to get opportunities and that should be embraced.

There's no way they were anything but happy for Doeren. Stop this nonsense.

I never said Bielema wasn't a fan of DD, said Alvarez is hard to get along with hence why Bielema left and why I think DD wouldn't be the Wisconsin head coach
