Leighton Settle
Sorry if this was previously posted, but looks like Settle lands at the University of Charleston. I wish him well.

RE: Leighton Settle
I wonder what he did to get kicked off the team. To get booted when you're the starting RB, it must have been semi serious.

I'm still confused how he started for us. Wasn't explosive at all... Wish him well though

Wish him the best, but glad he won't be taking carries for us this fall. He sucked.

i hear he met with coach doren and told him he wanted to be guaranteed to carry the ball 20 times or more a game. Coach said the game dictates the ball distribution. I guess that was not good enough for young settles. I think he quit more then get kicked off

So, with Jordan Lynch and our dynamic offense of last year, a very average RB goes to DD and says he wants a guaranteed 20 carries per game?

Not buying it for a minute.

To be clear, I'm not calling you a liar. It's a matter of what you "heard" about Leighton Settle just not adding up. And, BTW, NIU70 is a friend of mine and someone I respect.

What Yesman posted is a much more believable scenario. And, Yesman has direct links to the team.

Remember how crazy and insane Jamal Womble was? Why can't Settle be just stupid enough to think he deserves more carries even though the best rusher in the nation (yeah I said it) is already on the team playing QB? Look at the NFL the last few months, not the smartest people playing football these days.

RE: Leighton Settle
I don't think Womble was crazy or insane. Just had dreams (albeit it unrealistic ones) of playing in the NFL.

Womble, by all accounts, was a great teammate who got along with the rest of the team. He made an unfortunate choice and got himself kicked off the team, but he still ended up getting his degree.

Don't think I'd label him crazy or insane.

He was tweeting he was going to play in the NFL and take care of his mom. Again, wasn't going to happen, but I don't think I'd call him insane.

If you were Womble's size and had his athletic ability, I wouldn't call you crazy if you thought you had a chance to play in the NFL either.
