This league always needs to keep a presence in the Metroplex, and with UNT that presence will be a strong one.

The older gent' at :07 on the YouTube video is former U of Memphis, Washington State U and out-going UNT President, Dr. Lane Rawlins.

While at Memphis he was one of the movers & shakers who organized Conference-USA.

He's done a good job at UNT but is ready to retire.

Is there a reason why you have WKU (not a member yet) and not USM (the flagship school of this conference and historically the best team)

And (agree) how could I have left CUSA's "chairman of the board" ,ie, 'flagship", off that list other than I was in a hurry when I did it from (a not so good) memory. I'm a senior so please allow me a senior moment?

Western Kentucky joins the league next year.
Southern Miss is in the Eastern Division for football this year.

You know, add in a couple of "select schools" into that Western Division and you have the makings of a nice, "South-N-West Conference". Re-alignment time?
