If we are talking hopes of producing a national champion for football, the author is probably correct, but overall the conference will be fine. It still has some great basketball programs and solid baseball. I don't know much about the other olympic programs, but I'm sure those will be solid as well.

The article is trash.

I especially like the UCF failed to establish report with anyone other than USF part. I guess report=rapport now.

Why post this? Obviously people love pis sing contests

Football is still a big unknown but basketball should be tops with UConn, Cincinnati, Memphis, Temple and Tulsa on board. They will be a good baseball conference as well with Tulane, East Carolina, Houston, UCF and South Florida there. And UConn's women's basketball should give the new league instant cred in that sport.

Nobody starts a pissing contest like MG61.

If you want to discuss the American Athletics Conference then go to their board and do so.

Statement for the record up front. Bleacher Report is the worst thing that's ever happened to sports. As someone who used to work in an athletic media relations office (as one of my many career paths) I will off that as one of the credentials to make that statement.

That said I tried to give it a read. I lasted until it got to the Big 12 and ACC expansion.

For starters, Texas doesn't want a championship game and doesn't want to share more of the revenue that it believes is being predominately generated by themselves (I know Texans right?). Second, if the ACC wanted 16 it would have done so. They clearly did not want 16 and didn't even want Louisville for that matter. I didn't read the rest of it. Author at that point already didn't know what he was getting into and thus his credibility = zero.

Beyond that why read Bleacher Report. Next time someone sends you a link to Bleacher Report kindly ignore or delete it and certainly don't volunteer yourself to visit that site. They are trying to now pass that thing off as legitimate and authentic journalism which it is not.

When the ACC signed their grant of rights agreement earlier this year, the casualness of conference jumping ended, it would seem. The only move I see possibly happening is the Big 12 decides to go from 10 to 12, but that's probably a long shot presently. I don't believe there are two teams that would elevate the BIG 12 TV contracts sufficiently to warrant an invite.

Wasn't the Bleacher Report bought by AOL, MSN or Yahoo! not too long ago?

why would you, it seems like aac posters are still here. For every post from a cusa fan on the aac board, you will see 15 post from aac fans on the cusa board... and that is counting my post in the soccer thread
