I have seen USM be successful and still be considered as unimportant even in South Mississippi so even with the current debacles I am confident USM will come out of it and be an outstanding program. USM has that type mentality.

In a very real sense, all we did there was eradicate one particularly bad symptom of the overall disease. We still suffer far too much from rampant cronyism and a disinterested political organization, and that has manifested itself in a revolving door in coaching staffs, athletic directors, and presidents.

Ellis Johnson was no worse than a tie with Shelby Thames.
