As and indication of how slim JL's chances are, notice how he did not make any of the four All-American teams.

??

Jordan Lynch was AP All-American last year as an all-purpose player.

This guy likes Lynch for the Heisman and thinks he's better than Manziel.

His chances remain slim, but it's great to see his name out there early. It only can increase the spotlight on the team and maybe bring more people to Huskie Stadium.

Need to win early and often or the momentum dies.

I really hope that he doesn't try to do too much.
Let the game come to him.

Yes...it is so nice to see a bit of respect for Lynch & Huskie football out there.

If he leads the Huskies to an undefeated season the chances are very good. It will take special effort from everyone but the schedule is favorable. The only thing I'm concerned with is that we've been so fortunate the last two years the ball may not bounce our way this year.

Picture this.

After last year, Huskie opponents start keying on Lynch, and Rod Carey finds that the Huskie RBs are much improved over last year, so Lynch start handing off more. Daniels, Bowers and Harris have banner years, but Lynch does not get the 1500 rushing yards he had last year.

Likewise, the Huskie D proves to be so reliable, that the O does not feel the urge to go for it on fourth and short. Rod Carey might just slow down the O, to eat up more clock.

All these things would be great for the team, but then Lynch might not have the great stats he had last year. I would take it. I would sacrifice the Heisman for another trip to Detroit.

Lynch and the Huskies will need to set up the run with the pass this year. Hopefully we'll do a great job of this during the season. The Iowa game will tell us a lot about how effective this offseason has been for the coaching staff.

Yep, we will need to show we can pass well against teams like Iowa and Purdue if they stack the box.

I'm not taking away anything from DD, but when he was here and we played against "bigger" opponents it seemed like he would play not to get hurt or not to lose. Maybe Rod will be more aggressive and come out swinging. I would like that a lot.

To give DD credit, the first 'bigger' opponents were his first games as coach. Then he was between a rock and a hard place with the OC situation in the Iowa game, once he got his feet under him Doeren was one of the most confident ballsy coaches in the country.
