I think this game with Memphis will be a closer game than both sides expect. However, I feel that the offensive line for Ole Miss will eventually wear down the Memphis defense in a physical game, and we come out on top 35-24. Look for Pearson and Abrams to have stellar days.

This game will certainly be winnable but we have to put up some points!!!

If we sit back on offense and expect the Defense and our fans to keep us in the game...we'll lose!!!

Evening game in Oxford...First game without Eli...New QB who has thrown/completed 8 passes...no real running backs with experience...young D line...loss of one of your TWO starting LB's...it's gonna be a war and we better be clicking to win this one...

We either win in a big way or lose a heart breaker...a close game will be in Memphis State's favor!!!

If we can click and get the breaks UM 45 memphis state 24...if we sputter all night and try and "play defense" UM 16 memphis st 31

I agree that the defense will show marked improvement--particularly the backfield.

Memphis St. is expected to have a really good team this year, as everybody here knows, so I think we have a real challenge ahead. I hope the bitterness of how we lost to them last year has not been forgotten. I hope Driesbach has not forgotten to focus on real tackling and blocking, none of that arm tackle stuff. I am worried about Pittman being out for six games, Bournes gone.

Just a month ago I was thinking we could look for an 8-3 season, with losses to LSU, Georgia and Tennessee. I now think we could end up 6-5 or 7-4. I hope to be proven badly wrong, though. Since our first two games are going to be competitive, we will quickly see what we are made up of this year.

jam jack--pretty funny stuff. What about the pictures of the gun waving football players for Ole Miss? I think that their mug shots would fit nicely on your site.

If Oxford is so great, why did they all have to come to Memphis?

goooo tigers!! should be great!!

To get a cold beer! :la:

One has been thrown off the team and his scholarship revoked and the other is under at least a 6 game suspension.

not jam jack, it is iamjack, jack. No we don't mind a little ribbing as long as it is in fun and not carried to far. Since we can't even post on the tiger site, we don't take much crap from memphis fans.

I haven't been over there in a while. I believe that GTS had to have a talk with the Mod over there about doing that kind of crap.

Its amazing to me how everyone has us scoring so low. Be realistic please... You replace seven starters on your defense.. We return everyone to an offense that put 44 on you.. How do you expect to hold us to 17 or 18 or even 24.. Come on if your going to make a prediction atleast be reasonable about it... Its amazing sometimes isnt it.. Atleast give us last seasons avg. 30.2 sheesh..

Memphis 7 14 14 10 =45
Ole Miss 14 7 7 7 = 35

You guys come out fired up, do well in first quater. Tied at healf we pull away in second half for the win..

GO TIGERS!!!

Well we all know what happened. All I can say is, I want Ole Miss to do great for the rest of the year. The better you all do, the better Memphis looks. Good luck against BAMA. Frankly, I think you might win this one.
