Another FCS thread said that Jaybo Shaw is the new WR coach at Western Carolina in Cullowhee. His father Lee Shaw, current head coach at Rabun County HS in Clayton, GA, was a WR for the CATS under Coach Bob Waters from 1980-1983. Went on to say Shaw left Georgia Southern and went with Monken to Army before this. Question is, why would Shaw leave being with Monken at Army to go to WCU. Just thought someone might know.

He was going to be a quality control coach at Army after being a grad assistant at Georgia Southern. He'll be an actual position coach at WCU, plus it gives him some experience in a different offensive system so he isn't typecast as a flexbone option only coach.

Thanks. Thought it was just a lateral move from the write ups, but makes a lot of sense from the way you explained it. Just couldn't put it in perspective from what I had seen. Good move for him then really.

Just found out where my seats are going to be at in Paulson Stadium, next season, & tomorrow, will be a North Stands (Expanded side) Open House, to checkout the upgrades & take in the view from your seats........can't wait, Sectio, 108, Row C, Seats 15, 16, & 17, Club level & Midfield sweet

I think it's awesome we intentionally skipped Row I.

The official name is the North Stands now, that was recently announced. Never been officially designated before.

Currently, all the fencing was torn down for construction. It may be chain link that replaces it just due to time constraints before the season, but hopefully the wrought iron and brick columns will be completed on that side as well.

The sides of our stadium had never received an official designation until now. Before, it was kind of common to call the South Stands the Home side and the North Stands the visitor (or student) side, primarily due to the teams on the field.

I thought we went from Alumni side & Student side, now to North side & South side.

There were various incarnations that went around the fanbase, but there was never any official designations for the stands.

The department officially designated them north and south recently though in May 19th release.

Yea that's what I was getting at a few posts ago. I think it was to get away from the "small time" type stuff we'd been doing with the whole "Alumni/Student" or "Home/Student" or "Home/Visitor" thing we'd been doing.

It's small things that add up. It's like how in the new club seating, there is no Row I (they're designated by letter instead of number). The reason? There is no I in Team....that's straight from TK apparently.

Alabama and Auburn fans have referred to their sides of the stadium as "home" and "visitors" by where the team is and which way the midfield logo faces. No need for any fans of these prime time SBC teams to hate on skins for using "visitors" side.
