Jay is one hell of a good dude and as of Sat/Sun a new father for the first time! He and his wife Erin are both proud JMU alums. I have no insider information, but I think he will be the winner of this Big Break season

He will battle the bald guy who birdied every hole in the elimination challenge. Jay is clearly the most talented golfer on the show. Congrats to him and his wife on the new baby.

Jay definitely seems to be a great representative for JMU on the show. I've seen previous episodes where you can see his JMU head covers in the bag. Glad to have such a classy guy and a good talent representing us on national TV.

Never heard of any of this...except for JMU, of course.

Is Big Break some sort of show that I should know? Is it only for old guys who love golf?

The golf channel. It's called big break Mexico. Even the golf channel has reality shows about golf.

I've caught some of it, not bad but kind of hokey or whatever. It's basically a game show type thing with elimination "challenges" and stuff all relating to one golf skill or another. 3 teams of 4 and some of the girls are good looking enough.

It's a complete waste of time, but that only makes it comparable to 90% of other programming out there these days.

Monday nights at 9pm, golf channel ....

I've never seen it, but I had thought the prize for winning the season was a spot on the PGA tour. (I also thought it was a more straight-laced golf tournament.) Apparently, the winner receives sponsor exemptions to a couple of the tour stops. It's then up to the golfer to place high enough to secure future spots. I guess that's still a cool enough prize. Go Dukes!

All bars in Charleston, at least in Mount Pleasant, has 1 tv that always has the Golf Channel airing.
