These are the composite rankings from multiple sites

UTEP
SG Jacob Thomas 81
SF Jake Flaggery 80

ECU
SG Gregory Alexander 80
SG/SF Caleb White 80

Quote:About 247Composite:
The 247Composite is a proprietary algorithm that compiles rankings and ratings listed in the public domain by the major media recruiting services, creating the industry's most comprehensive and unbiased prospect and team rankings.

Both Caleb White and Gregory Alexander had confirmed offers through Rivals and 247 from UTEP. They both commited to us before you were got Thomas and Flaggerty and are regard as highly.

No one has said they would have been the studs of your class but it is obvious you were recruiting them, wanted them, offered them, and we got them commited before you did Thomas and Flaggery who play the same positions. Those could have been your plan B's for White and Alexander but the bottomline is you offered both of them and didn't fill those scholarships with any better talent, after they picked us over UTEP just like Bowden had.

Andre Speight, SG, 86 rating committed to UTEP before this alexander fella committed to ECU... and where the hell does it say on 247 that we even offered those 2?....

Anyways...

Issac Hamilton, SG, 98 rating....
Vince Hunter, SF, 90 rating

Please, those 2 (alexander and white) might have gotten a phone call from UTEP, but no chance they were heavily recruited.

I'll put it this way. We never used to beat UNCC, Richmond, or ODU for a recruit before Lebo got here. The last 2 years we have landed the recruits we went head to head on vs all of you, even before the AAC invite. We already had become a player in the region for the top mid level talent and now we will have a clear advantage to offer recruits to play in a higher profile conference.

Marshall Guilmette. If that guy played for Charlotte he would never see the floor. Please stop saying he is better than anyone on Charlotte. He was terrible last year. Terrible. Three games in double figures. Minutes were in the toilet once conference play arrived. That dude is a massive turd.

Also about beating out for recruits...we signed Blakley. From his coach, "Blakley, who averaged 16.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game this season, also received offers from Northwestern, East Carolina, Furman and USC Upstate, his coach said." 04-rock

He was a true freshman and battled injuries on and off during the season.07-coffee3

So was Willie Clayton. He was All Rookie Team A-10 and 21st in ESPN's Top 25 Freshman. He also battled an ankle for a while. Like I said...have with Marshall.

Guilmette had a fine freshman season. Most guys his size don't even get off the bench as true freshman. Every team needs a 6-10/ 240lb guy and he has a ton of potiental and was solid until he hurt his hip. Have you looked at what your only 6-10 guy did? He redshirted a year and still barely got off the bench. You got 3 players over 6-4, you could have certainly used either Guilmette or Stith on your team.

Apparently some debate on that....

""Pick Axe states "The 6’9″ Blakely currently lists no offers.""

It's pretty funny how it's not confirmed by any actual recruiting site nor did we have any scholarships to give after we got Whisnant this spring. A transfer guard, so I doubt we were even looking for a post player. These high school coaches love to hype up their players. Recruiting sites usually have people in tight with actual college coaches to sources and confirm offers.

3 players over 6-4. You could have certainly used Stith and Guilmette. They would probably start or at least play big minutes on your team this year as Thorne was less effective than Guilmette at Center last year and you have no big wing on your team.

And yet UNCC has still been beating you on the court.

1/35th of a season played in November/early December. We've beat Dwade final 4 teams when we sucked and it didn't mean much in the big picture about having the better team or season. We've finished ranked higher the last 3 years than UNCC now, and our teams have actually improved over the course of the year and peak late, not colapsed. I'll take that all day any day rather than the colapsing they have going on. No way they were better in March. We are winning on the court as much, have beat them on multiple players and got a real conference on the way to recruit too.

One's an anomaly, and the other is just constant. We all know which is which. You can only play the game when it is scheduled, and we beat you. That's all you can do.

And for the last time, you didn't have the better season. Your data is boosted by your post season appearance against RPI 80-120 teams while nobody else was playing and using that data is pointless since it's primary, main, and only objective is to provide a data point for selection committees. Blazer explained this before. I'm done.

As for Guilemette, sometimes certain talent has to play on lesser teams. We didn't necessarily need Thorne last year. You needed Guilemette. He was serviceable initially, but comparing him to Thorne is apples to oranges.

Post season is part of the season last time I checked if not the most important to most teams. 04-cheers epic colapse, it's very constant with your teams. I'll take playing our best in March and April anyday.

Either way, at worst we are clearly as good the last 3 years/this year. We are already beating you on recruits, and now we got the gamechanger in our pocket. You got nothing on us moving forward.

Apparently, we have intelligence.

The RPI breaks down after the regular season- many sites actually will explain it step-by-step so that you can understand why it is useless once post-season play begins. If you would like to do a side-by-side comparison of # of top-25, 50, and 100 wins (as they were ranked by RPI at the end of the regular season), as well as compare head-to-head, I have no problem with that. As has been stated many times, you've been in a conference with these schools before- you were the doormat. Lebo didn't even get to 20 wins last year if you only count Division I games- which you're using to inflate his numbers and your RPI. Again, you pick fights even when people want to wish ECU luck. Don't try to rub our face in your win in the fourth-best tourney and talk about post-season when so may teams make the NCAA or NIT, now. We're pissed about how our season ended, but that doesn't mean we didn't have a better season than you. None of us would bring it up if (some select) ECU fans weren't in our face all the time trying to pound their chests. Hell, we're not exactly proud of our 5-seed in the NIT, but it's what we got.

If all you ever said was "I feel we're headed in the right direction" then you would be fine. Instead, you try to elevate yourself above superior teams, try to put them down, and pound your chest without any prompting and then wonder why people come back at you. When they do come back at you with facts you just laugh in the face of reality and continue to skip down the yellow brick road to la la land. Good luck to the good ECU fans out there; I don't think I could tolerate SJ even if we were pulling for the same team- I'd just be embarrassed.

You're right, it is. Except that teams say, we made the NCAA Tourney, or we made the NIT, or "Hey, we get to pay to host a tertiary tournament!" Then they accept the results of where they fall, whether it's a first round exit, or winning it all. I can guarantee you none of the teams go back and find out where there RPI finally landed and tell a team that went to a much higher rated tournament that they had a better year or finished better then them. You're the only one. Just you. It's fits your agenda.
