In my opinion? You can search every one of my posts on here, Digs, and the Den. I have always said it was about the 2014-15 season. Always. Sure, I want success. Sure, I want it now. But my goals and expectations are about the 2014-15 season. You can disagree. That is fine. This is my opinion.

What if the Miners choke in 2014-15? I will renew my season tickets like I always do and continue to be a supportive fan. I am a fan first and a stake holder second. In the long run, I think our best bet is to have Coach Floyd as our head coach as long as we can.

I respect your opinion and remember that you have always said that you think the truly great season will come in 2014.

I however believed that the truly great season should have come in 2010. When that didn't happen, I lost all faith in Floyd.

Therefore, we cannot go to the next level until we move on from Floyd.

I am not going to go into circles too much but I can't see how you can take Barbee's NCAA junior laden team, subtract DC (who was absolutely everything to that team), and expect similar results. Not specifically you but so many people say because the team was full of seniors. That doesn't make the case to me.

Fine. Let's not go in circles but at least a few experts expected this team to repeat as champions and return to the NCAA.

That didn't happen.

Barbee didn't stay but what kind of season do you think UTEP would have had if Barbee, Character, and Moultrie had stayed?

Because that was my dream season that I never saw.

Now that is an interesting and fresh question. One I have not really thought about. Very interesting.

Coach Barbee is not that much of a factor. He hasn't become a great coach at Auburn so I would not have expected much more from him then. It is all about DC. Man, what could have been? Maybe a sweet sixteen team? Especially with the "DC gets a touch on every possession" offense. Eventually we would have faced a team that was more athletic but two wins in the tourney seems realistic.

RIght. So they were only sophmores during the last season. I hear a Fitbud debate coming.

Just wait, in about 10 more post he'll be asking who recruited Bohanon, again

Had caracter stayed, we would have been going deep into the tournament. With that said, caracter was gone before he even arrived. He was friends with my cousin, after his second game she asked him if he was coming back next year and he replied "nope, I'm going for the money."

As long as we beat NMSU, UNM and UTSA, I will be okay going 3-9 in Kugler's first year.
