Lynch 4 Heisman
We thought a BCS bowl was out of reach. I'm sure Kirk the Jerk will never allow one of our players to win a Heisman but an undefeated regular season and 1500 rushing yards and 4000 passing would be impossible to ignore.
Go LYNCH!!!!!!!

RE: Lynch 4 Heisman
I didn't realize Herbstreit single handedly decides who win the Heisman.

He also single-handedly decides who is worthy of a BCS bid in case you haven't noticed.

That would be incredible to follow up last year's numbers with anything in the same ballpark. I feel more optimistic about replicating last year's success with a MAC championship than I do about Lynch's personal numbers though. With how teams will be keying on him, he is probably going to find it a tougher go this year. That is ok though because it means other weapons will emerge.

RE: Lynch 4 Heisman
I feel like he will still put up excellent rushing numbers this year... going into the end of the season in 2012/13 teams knew Lynch's ability and he still had great numbers... In the Mac championship game Kent knew Lynch would rush and he still put up 160 yards.

Huskies need to replicate last year's deep threats of Ashford and Moore, or it will be easier to key on Lynch.

If someone else (Daniels, Lewis) can put up some serious running numbers, the reverse or fake reverse can become a very dangerous play for the Huskie O.

JL does not necessarily need to duplicate last year's numbers to run a dangerous offense.

RE: Lynch 4 Heisman
I think I would rather see Lynch's numbers more like Harnish's, where the team was more balanced. 3000 yards passing with 750 rushing yards along sides a 1000 yard RB. I would assume that it would be much harder to prepare for the Huskies knowing that there are many different ways they can attack. Then again, they knew Lynch was coming and look how that turned out.

With Daniels being a factor all season long, Lynch's rushing #'s will be going down a bit.

Daniels needs to prove that he can take the wear and tear of being a go to number one back, He might need some help in terms of someone to share some carries.

Yea, I agree. I think We need a couple more strong backs. Hard to believe that NIU aka "running back U" is hurting for backs!
