Funny, that's the other headline I considered before briefly considering "Buh-bye" and settling on the more blunt "Greenspan Leaving."

Only if we get someone better in charge.

edit: Realizing I'm setting a low bar, but I mean, we aren't that far removed from hiring this guy. Some of the same people are probably going to be involved.

This is good news.

Very true. I hope those in charge learn from this and do not repeat it.

I mean, I understand many here wanting to rejoice. I'm just saying...the work isn't done yet.

Does this mean I'm not going to get my "Ask the A.D." questions from 9 months ago answered?

Don't we have a new BoT since the Greenspan hire ? I'd hope they are heavily involved in the search. Wouldn't mind seeing input from all the coaches too.

I think (totally my opinion/speculation) that Tudor would be involved at the very least.

Given the changing landscape of collegiate athletics, this could be one of the biggest hires for Rice Athletics in the program's history. I don't know what opportunities Slick Rick is going to pursue, but this really opens the door for Rice to do right some major wrongs.....

I'm still hopeful that in his farewell speech, Greenspan will finally lay out his plan for the Athletic Department.

Meanwhile, scores of Greenspan relatives are busily packing up their offices on South Main.

Wonder who would hire him.. the only things I can come up with are

1. NCAA
2. Ohio State (picking the opposite of Gee, who spoke too much, they turn to the stoic and completely silent Greenspan)
