"WVU fans need not worry. WVU has been promised a spot in the SEC if the Big 12 folds somewhere down the line and the Mountaineers deserve it.
WVU was the SEC’s second choice when it chose Arkansas and it was the second choice when it chose Missouri. WVU had the support among SEC schools but not the television sets. The next time the SEC expands WVU has a spot if it wants it."
I actually agree with him on this one. I think the SEC may have made the same mistake as the B1G did with Missouri. They always thought Missouri would be on the shelf waiting, but oops... WVU had to be on the SEC list as #15 or 16.

He made the move over to SportsManCave just before the ACC put the hobble on that horse ... he needs to generate hits and this is the only song and dance he knows.

The Big XII is now going to fall...lol......neither Texas or Oklahoma has any real incentive to go anywhere...really....they don't....

There are some former Big XII schools that did not believe that...
Would Texas stay if, say, Oklahoma and Kansas bolted? It could happen down the road. They both have options. Four spots remain open between the B1G and the SEC.

Not after running off every school that disagrees with them.

SMU agrees
And it would not be the first time Texas ran off and left other conference members to fend for themselves. Look... I expect Texas to do what is best for Texas. Nobody should have a problem with that, but other schools have to be vigilant as well...
When this GoR expires, or soon before, if UT as much as farts, other schools will be planning on a quick exit. By then the AAC might even be a much improved and solid option for schools like K State, Iowa State, Baylor, etc. By then OU and OSU might look much better to the PAC 12. Kansas will be off to the B1G, and WVU will finally be where they belong...in the SEC. If Texas farts it better go ahead a take the big crap, because they might end up being the big fish in a very, very small pond.

Well the Big 12 IS the only conference with membership that would overall suit the needs of the other three conferences where as the ACC really is only good for the Big Two. Not sure how influential the PAC is but I am pretty certain that they would prefer to see the Big 12 fold instead of the ACC.
Not saying there is anything to the Dude, I havn't ever really been that impressed by him but my initial scenario's included Maryland to the Big Ten and the Big 12 falling apart. Their GoR changed things and now the ACC GoR changes things.
Where it goes from here...who knows. It isn't over yet though, just extended.

Does this guy just completely not get how realignment works?
If it was to actually happen, which is a stretch at this point, I would say WVU and OSU because I don't think Missouri is going anywhere and the SEC wouldn't have three slots.

Maybe...but imma believer that past is prologue...wake me when Oklahoma separates from Texas.
But @ this point...I am almost @ the point of it being just another reshuffle of the same 66 schools...

You know we have just been discussing this issue on another thread. The PAC 12 had the chance to kill the Big XII with one vote, and refused to take OU and OSU. I can't remember when one conference had almost absolute power to destroy another.
