NCAA APR
NIU leads the MAC again with 974

Tied for 3rd of all non-AQs with Air Force. Boise St and Rice are #1 and #2.

It doesn't measure academic quality, just progress of athletes towards graduation at their school. That's why a low-level academic school like Boise, with its 8% 4-year graduation rate (that's not a typo), can score so high.

Thank God for women sports on keeping the rating up.

What happen to men's basketball? Too many players stop going to class? Cannot win on the floor and cannot win in the classroom. Bad combo.

If i remember correctly, your APR is negatively affected when players transfer out of your program before getting their degree (yes?). The men's basketball program has had a ton of transfers through the last four years.

Sort of. You're only docked APR points if a player leaving has a GPA below 2.6 and/or is not in good academic standing. So while I would think it has a negative impact overall, it's probably only a significant factor in the final APR score if there are systemic academic problems on a team.
