RE: Pro-Am
This Sat at 3:30 there's a game between Backyard Athletics (EK, Palmore, Hill, Ambrose and Nik) vs BB&T (Ross, Baker and maybe Freeman). This is over half of the team in one game. Ross has been great so far and well the buck.

Brian Smith (WVEC ch. 13 sports) was at today's game filming some of the BB&T vs. Nissan game, which BB&T won 104-97, and he got one of Ross' 3 nasty dunks so he might have it on the 6 or 11 sports segments tonight. I wouldn't hold my breath though, after all, Brian Smith is a....... VCU guy.

We didn't stay for the Backyard game so don't know if they won or not. Have not seen Palmore or Freeman at all this pro-am and don't expect to especially now that it's playoff time. EK has probably gone back home. BTW, Brian Smith didn't show Ross' best dunk last night...a rebound off a missed shot over several players and flush. He's become quite the fan favorite.

BB&T won, Ross had 27 pts & 6 reb and looked great today. Baker had a solid game with 12 pts and 4 reb.

Who won Men's MVP?

Ross plays in the final next Saturday at 4:30, likely against Batten and Bacote?

Second game, I didn't stay till the end. Here's Flood's tweet. Good showing for Bacote, he didn't get the start.
@7CitiesProAm: MME Realist Enterprise 106 Ricardo Ratliffe 29 pts 12 Reba (Korea) Aaron Bacote 16 (ODU)
Harvey Lindsay 72 DJ Henson 16 pts.

Batten hasn't played for a few weeks, I believe resting an ankle.

Sets up a nice championship game.

I'm going tomorrow. They are expecting a pretty impressive lineup for the finals. Baze might be playing with Ross and Troy Williams may play as well.

What a game! I saw pretty heavy Monarch representation both on the floor and in the stands.

Donte Hill and Mosley were both there to watch the women's team which hung on to win the championship.

MME with Batten, Bacote and seemingly every talented Peninsula product in the last 10 years hung on to defeat BB&T with Ross and J-Baker 132-129.

Blaine sighting. He was coaching a Virginia college alumni team featuring Frank, Keyon, and a bunch of VCU guys. They were playing against a DC area team featuring guys from Georgetown and Mason. Blaine looked fit and had facial hair. DC won by 4. Game was on ESPN3. http://www.the-ball.com
