Actually Fld gets only two shares or 2/16ths or one eight from bowl directly or 625,000 directly from the bowl - carry a large official party and paid for the unused tickets at $ 60 a pop - easy to see how they "lost" money. But before you cry any crocodile tears for poor Flor. they received about 20 million a year from the SEC.

Remember that the bowls make their payments to the conference offices, not the individual schools. The share cuts are made by the conference and then they distribute the shares to the members with a share or two for the conference administrations. If a school loses money its because they spent too much on their "official party" in order to keep the big donor boosters happy. As my dad used to say, "You can never pay anyone more than they can spend". Make a big donor booster unhappy, and you may find his money being invested across the field or court from you.
