You know you got love wilder. He is all about showing odu will be arriving soon to cusa. He is an amazing front of any program. And he always remembers a name. He is only hones.t he let's his players know he is all about our program except at 5 on Friday when his son is getting ready to qb at a local high school. He is out of the stadium quickly. Good family man.

Edit- I am so happy that Coach Wilder and ODU, as well as Charlotte, were both invited to C*USA media day even though we will not be football members until 2015. Without resorting to comparisons to our most recent conference and it's fans I am very impressed by the overall class and friendliness of C*USA and it's fans. I'm so very happy that ODU will be part of this conference as of July 1.

I think the only teams that like the triple option are the ones that run it. I don't think they like to face it anymore than the rest of us.

ODU's offense kind of looks like Marshall's. It just isn't as good.

Good answer. You will find there are some folks who like to talk a good game but has no Cusa history of success to back it up. Look forward to playing ODU first game of season. Hopefully we can continue the serious as it is a close location for both fan base.
Question............what is ODU max seating now and are there plans in near future to expand? ECU seats 50,000 and plans to increase to 60,000 by 2016.

Capacity is 19818 right now, for next season we're going a little more with reseating, but just above 20K I believe.

When the campus master plan is revealed in August, we will see how big we're gonna go, low ball is 33K, higher estimates are 40K. These numbers are from media sources and recruits that visited.

I am excited that Cusa brought in La. Tech, too. ECU, USM, and La. Tech all three mirror each other with attitude of football first.

It's great to finally play ECU and I also hope that we are able to line up against the Pirates on a consistent basis in the near future. I'm excited about playing LT in football as well, as I have no uncertain degree of admiration for the Bulldogs and their accomplishments. (And if nothing else, it would be nice to line up against a team with similar grievances to the triple option.)

I just don't understand why it's so hard to stop the triple option when you know they are going to pitch it to someone

It is called discipline defense and why ECU fired its DC. Most folks believe the talent was not the problem but players out of position to make plays. Hopefully with a "new" veteran DC and 9 starters back ECU defense unit has been corrected.

Actually the capacity last season was at 20,068.
