I really hated to lose Morgan Bolton
I thought she'd be a terrific point guard for us for several years. But I noticed she was joining a teammate or two from high school at SMU, so I guess they enjoyed playing together and had the chance so she took it. I look for her to be a really good player at SMU. She'll be missed, but good luck to her in her future career.04-cheers

RE: I really hated to lose Morgan Bolton
Bolton's Sr. Yr. in HS, I watched the Texas HS State Championship twice. Anyone would have been impressed by her quickness and ball handling. From the start, I questioned whether her skills would fit in a Foley system. Last season, it seemed Foley tried to make her fit in. It never worked and I am not surprised she is leaving. It will be interesting to follow her at SMU. Hopefully their coach will allow Bolton to be Bolton. Time will tell. I also wondered from the start, why would Foley recruit a player who clearly did not seem to belong in his type of offense?

Why do say she didn't fit? She had earned a spot in the starting lineup until she got hurt. Quick, strong, good passer, played tough defense and was a better shooter than Asriel in her Freshman season. I can't see any reason why she wouldn't have fit Foley's system. And every year she would have gotten better.

How do you figure that she'd get better every year? Oh yea, you're talking about one of Foley's players. Yes, they do improve every year. Must have something to do with coaching.

You're right. Most of his players do. But just maturity, getting stronger, and learning the system would have made her an outstanding player, IMO.
