One of my fondest Rice baseball heckling moments, personally, was at a mid-2000s game at UH. The place was mostly empty so our voices carried rather well. We managed to get the pitcher to pick off the runner at 1st that didn't exist and with no one covering the bag to catch the ball. *Rice directly scored run as a result.* Good times.

My favorite heckling in Football was LSU at Rice @ Rice Stadium in 1974.

Near constant chant of L**S**U**C**K**S, repeated most of the game.

Game was 10-7 Rice as the clock was winding down. Last play of the game was a top 20 LSU kicking a field goal to tie 10-10.

My all time favorite heckling was the infamous 1st clown night at Autry between Rice and Texas. As the second half started, Rice rallies and Abe Lemons calls time out. Autry was deafening with the chant of "Its a Circus".

This referred to Abe Lemons insulting description of Mike Schuler's tactic of substituting 5 players at a time during a game in Austin. One squad was for defense, the other was offense.

The Owls were just beginning to rebuild (again) after the disastrous seasons that Bob Polk presided over. There was no depth.

Well, after the time out, there was a Texas foul that was called a charge followed by technical fouls. It ended up as a "10 point play". Rally over.

Sportscasters on local TV (both CBS and NBC) called that play the worst call they had ever seen to date.
