Bad news for former Monarch Dan Hudson
Saw this on rotoworld. tough break...
Daniel Hudson has suffered a re-tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
Terrible news. Hudson, who had Tommy John surgery last July, suffered the re-tear during an extended spring training start on Tuesday. The 26-year-old right-hander was originally hoping to rejoin the Diamondbacks' rotation around midseason, he's now likely facing another surgery and an additional year of recovery time. Just brutal.

That's just too bad. I hope he eventually makes it back into the D'Backs rotation.

Dan used to sit behind me in one of my sport management classes. He's a real good guy. This is terrible news.

RE: Bad news for former Monarch Dan Hudson
Awful news. He's still young enough that he might be able to recover, but two tommy John surgeries is usually a death knell for a pitchers career.
It's definitely the death knell for a starter. If he comes back he will most likely have to be a reliever.
Joakim soria and Brian Wilson are both two time tommy John surgery guys.
One is still on the dl and the other is out of baseball despite his impressive beard.
Really bad news. I'll root for him to come back for sure, but its gonna be a longshot at best. The problem isn't that he can't come back, it's that he won't have even remotely the same stuff that got him to the show in the first place.
