I was traveling back from Eugene while Rice was winning on Monday and had no internet connection. I found out Tuesday morning the result. I admit that after Sunday I was not confident. So I was and am pretty surprised.

Congratulations to the team. And I think WG proved again what a genius he is with the pitching selections. Of course all the players had to execute.

I am so glad I got to go to Eugene. It was an interesting team. I enjoyed the amazing trees and flowering shrubs.

People are making indirect comments. I am not very subtle. There was very little local support for their Duck team. The stadium was very empty considering how great a season they have had. And Horton is a very good coach. He deserves more support there. It is still a new program. Perhaps support will improve.

I expected to see more local support for the Oregon team.
