This would be a good move by the MAC and if UMASS opts out so be it. The MAC needs to show some pride and some backbone and if UMASS does decide to join for all sports it would be a net plus.

The MAC does favore for these schools that need a football home but they don't want to recipracate and help the MAC improve its basketball

The MAC's mistake was not doing what CUSA did with charlotte. They made Charlotte cut all ties to the A10 "before" they let them in for football. Its harder to do it afterwards. Its like feeding the squirrels in your back yard. At first they are thankful you are feeding them, then they take it for granted, then they turn on you if you try to stop feeding them.
