Close play... probably the right decision to run, but a nice defensive play (as JP says it was not marvelous).

Throw was way wide of the plate. Better throw would've made it routine.

Yeah Ford has to slide wide there.

I think he would have if he slide at the plate, but his leg went wide. Same at the play at third, IMO.

Can that be attributed to that silly turf around the bases and plate? I hate that.

Just don't understand why we forced the issue. Overcoached that chance imo.

Dumb and dumber. they were lucky it was such a bad pitch to put in play. Might have worked otherwise but why try it?

I suspect that is good scouting, and it was a semi-pitchout... an unhittable pitch to try to catch Rice out.

Healy is the one with the bad back? No wonder on swings like that. Super effort from Jordan Stephens so far. Thorp didn't look that sharp in the 3rd, so let's hope he still looks shaky in the 4th.

Done!! With authority!! Well done, Jordan.

Let's see the bats and better/luckier running this inning.

I'm ok with being aggressive...we have been so unaggressive on the bases for a long time. However, you need better jumps and that comes back to better baserunning technique which I feel we still don't do well.

Btw I liked the double steal, trust in Hoelscher and good chance they start the sequence w a breaker in the dirt the catcher can't do anything with. Almost seemed like a pitch out.

Stephens quashes their momentum!

Thank goodness our pitching is lights out. Running ourselves out of runs is putting too much pressure on being perfect in pitching and defense.

No doubt. Would be huge to come back from the 3rd with some runs in the 4th. Would send Oregon into full clench, given the way Jordan is pitching.

After seeing the replay, I agree. I like aggressiveness on the bases, but it looked like it would've required a big mistake by nike to allow that run to score.

It was really bad at Vanderbilt. They could slide 1/2 between the bases there, and almost wiped a kids ankle out because of it.

Aquino with some good rips foul early in the AB. Good eye works the count full. Then a single. Nicely done.
