There's one potential wrinkle: A rotation from the Liberty to the Sun Bowl on certain years, though Bowlsby said that concept has lost steam in recent weeks.

Can't believe Liberty is that high. They must have replaced CUSA.

It's been no secret that the Liberty planned to dump CUSA and go after an SEC-Big XII match-up.

That probably means that the Russell Athletic Bowl won't be the ACC's top bowl after the Orange if it's the Big 12's 3rd after the Sugar.

The Liberty opponent is still unknown. I had hoped the SEC would fill in those blanks today--but apparantly they have not completed thier bowl line-up.

Interesting. Meinke was looking at moving up, but slipped from 6 to 8. Maybe when they got Russell Athletic as #4, Meinke Bowl wasn't as willing to pay. BWW was #4 last year, but they apparently reduced their payout and slipped to #6. Dallas was the last bowl prior year.

Holiday at #5 and NY Pinstripe at #7 went away as predicted.

the Russell athletic probably still ends up 2nd, especially if the ACC slides into the Capitol One when the B1G/SEC play in the Orange

I can't believe the Meineke slipped. Reliant is in football-crazy Texas, in the 4th biggest city in America, in a stadium that just got awarded a super bowl. I can't figure out what happened!?!?

Article doesn't say that is the order of the bowls, only the list of bowls.

Im surprised there needs to be 8 bowls for a ten team conference. Expansion... I wish.

so does CUSA still have the HOD Bowl game? What's the point in owning a bowl game if you're not going to place your teams in it?

Reliant supposedly were going to bump up the pay out. They either chose not to or didnt bump it enough. They did get an outstanding matchup for the area (Big-12 vs SEC). If the bowl is really lucky, a Texas vs A&M match-up will fall in thier laps during the next 6 year cycle.

I like any bowl game that puts a CUSA team against a team from either Big 12 or Big 10. I suspect HOD will end up replacing the Liberty as to where the CUSA champ will be placed

Sounds like HOD is their last pick since he said they may not be able to provide a team.
