Al Gore Sr. He impregnated the woman who gave birth to the child who would grow up to be responsible for creating the Internet, which allows all of you to be here right now.

Should we add Mike D'Antoni, head coach of the Lakers? (At least that's where I think he is now.)

I thought I was the only one that still remembered Paul Pressey, one of my favorite NBA players growing up. I sometimes used to emulate him in pickup games in my neighborhood as a teenager.

We'll I'm sure Vince had some pharmaceutical help to get him in that shape. 60 year old men don’t just jack up like that and many need the testosterone replacements anyway, but I still got mad respect for guys like him and Stallone. Doesn’t matter what you are taking you don’t get in that kind of shape with out working your ass off and discipline diet. You are talking about dudes with 10's of millions of dollars that could retire if they wanted and live the same quality of life while relaxing.

They all went to pro bowls and had good college careers, but CJ's come the closest of going beyond that with the 2000 yard season and being one of only a handful of players that have done that. He did it with a lot of style as well.

Not sure I'd be openly claiming "CJ2K" as he is not a very good ambassador for ECU.

Dude needs to see a dentist ASAP!!!

To be from such a mainstream and mostly traditionally conservative state, Sr. and Jr. were 2 weird dudes.

Mean Joe Greene

Considered not only the greatest player in North Texas history, “Mean” Joe Greene is also considered the greatest defensive tackle in this history of football.

When the NFL named its top 100 players of all time, Greene was the top-rated defensive tackle.

In fairness LaShawn Merritt also went to ODU

But, ODU doesn't have Track and Field and his degree says East Carolina University.

Biography [edit]

Merritt is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. LaShawn spent one year as a college athlete at East Carolina University, signing an endorsement contract with Nike during his first season of indoor track, making him no longer eligible to compete in an NCAA event. He then transferred to Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He is currently enrolled at Norfolk State University in Business Administration Norfolk, Virginia.

Am I missing something or is his "but his degree says ECU" just another round of made up crap? (the above as of this past semester).

Well, since you insist on claiming him, you gotta take his 21 month suspension from professional track/field for doping as well.

Yeah - kinda unfair. Give him (Dixon) bonus points for being part of the top cornerback tandem ever per an espn article a year or so ago (he and Minnifield)....plus for giving the Browns the "dawg pound".

Gizmo was worth the price of admission at times. He returned kicks for the Showboats before he built his amazing resume in the CFL.

And, Reggie White gave him his nick name.

I didn't know that. I assumed that Pepper Rodgers gave it to him. Pepper was always doing something unconventional like that.

only a handful of schools can claim to produce the greatest player of all time at his position, and Southern Miss is one of them.
