Aresco is such a f*cking fail...I want him fired but what would it do at this point? Can sh*t really get any worst? Cincinnati better be on their way to getting the he11 out of this awful conference and POS television contract by this time next year.

Aresco "Mission Accomplished" This guy is the worst. He makes Meatball look like a freaking genius!!!!!!

The guy came in here to destroy the Big East. How can you figure the C7 leaving and keeping the name?

MCMurphy--Russell Athletic and Belk Bowls Wont Be AAC Bowls
McMurphy is reporting industry sources saying the #1 ACC pick after the BCS will go to the Russell. It appears they will share one side of the Belk with the Big-10. The SEC will be the opponent in both the Belk and Russell bowls. If true, that means we are out of both. There may still be some maneuvering over who gets what bowls and how the rotations work, but it doesnt matter for us--we dont appear to be any part of the equation.

Two weeks ago, conference and bowl officials met in Charlotte. At the meeting, it appeared the Taxslayer.com Gator, Belk and American Mortgage Music City bowls would share the ACC's top bowl pick after the Orange Bowl, industry sources said. Each of those three bowls would play an SEC opponent, a source said.

So, what bowls do we have left now? I can't keep track of all the cracks in the dam at this point.

It's not official, but if it turns out to be this way who would be surprised? I did not think we could hold on to the Russell, Pinstripe, or Belk bowls. And the Liberty is iffy.

Still have Beefy, a rotating Liberty tie-in, BBVA-Compass in Birmingham, and the Pinstripe Bowl (for now). However, ESPN's Big-10 blogger says the Pinstripe is likely to become an ACC vs Big-10 affair. That might leave open a slot in the Mieneke Car Care Bowl in Houston.

Other bowls the Big Ten could add to the lineup include Pinstripe (against ACC) and Holiday (against Pac-12). Don't expect the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas to be part of the next Big Ten bowl lineup.

... a slot that looks to be filled by the SEC, which would like to have a Big 12/SEC matchup in Texas now that the Cotton is gone:

Attackcoog - Meineke Car Care Bowl in Houston isn't really going to be open. It's a near certainty that it's going to be a Big 12 team (a given with its Texas location) vs. either the Big Ten or SEC. Remember that this bowl was a threat to become one of the playoff bowls since they had so much cash, so if anything, they could end up with what the Cotton Bowl used to be (Big 12 #2 vs. SEC #3/4).
