That one seems to be new....a search of emoticons shows a changing inventory, and some are pretty fun.

I'm seriously considering giving it the old college try on getting tickets down there.

Greenville has some.....how shall I put this........hot tail.

I already have taken the day off work for ECU and Maryland. We don't have our tickets, yet, but are working on it. We will be there one way or another!

Right now we have six going, and it may be eight. Our plan is to stay overnight and come back Sunday. Anyone else staying, and if so which hotel? We have not yet made reservations.

We got a pretty big group. 50/50 ECU/ODU folks. My parents are going with a group of 6 (4 odu 2 ecu) and have hotels. I'm staying in Raleigh with friends and driving to Gville Saturday for the game with them and at least 4 others from Raleigh, all ECU grads. Well... one's an NCState guy so he doesn't count. And I have no idea how many people we'll be meeting there but they will probably all be ECU people. But as far as tailgating I am not certain where we'll be. I'm just going to play that by ear. Regardless I can't wait to be there rocking ODU gear this time.

Man, I still don't think I have officially tailgated more at ODU than I did at ECU yet. I think by the end of this season that will have changed though.

Good article, and I was particularly struck by a comment attributed to Bobby Wilder regarding our ability to compete with mid-major FBS teams for the long haul. After rereading it and reflecting on it, I suspect he has hit the nail right on the head (once again), and it is a good thing we get to recruit at the FBS level one more year before we go full time FBS.

My family of four is going to the ECU game. @Smitty - is D-money going?

Smitty, we are planning to go and have reservations at the Hampton Inn near campus for Friday and Saturday nights.

Right now there are 8 of us going, and we are staying in the Candlewood Saturday night. Check-in is at 3:00 and then straight to tailgating!

I'm not a fan of that either. They really need to push the deadlines out further so you know if you have tickets and can make travel plans. This policy is why I try to avoid using our ticket office as much as possible. Last year I bought tickets to all our road games but from the opponent box office.

I doubt NSU tickets will be all that difficult to get. I think they go on sale in mid-July. Still I would jump on them then and not wait.

Worst case with NSU tickets, you could become a season ticket holder for around $75 compared to the $35 a ticket ODU box office is selling for that game.
