Hotter than hell and 2' below sea level the REAL SWAMP is where Cajuns play!
I know Cajun fans have no issue with these picks (except maybe the one conference loss, I mean who could possibly beat UL
)
Anyway, I was just thinking of asking for fans to post there predictions for their specific school (W/L, score, attendance, etc...) for the season.
Georgia Southern VS: (9-2 overall, 7-1 SOCON)
Savannah St. : W, 49 - 3, ~22000 Home opener at night vs a weak school equals huge blowout and lots of drunk students in attendance.
St. Francis : W 63-0, ~18000, Another big win and night game for the Eagles, but due to the fact that no one knows who this team is attendance drops (hopefully not too much).
at Wofford: W 24-14, ~6000, To similar offenses grinding out a fast game with both defenses being stingy. Tough game against a team that is very disciplined. No atmosphere at this away game, GSU will likely have as many fans there as the home team.
Chatanooga: W 35-31, ~20000, This could be a tricky game for GSU. Chatty is starting to show consistant growth and has a good QB. They could pull an upset, but GSU holds onto the win. First home conference game gives a boost in attendance.
at Samford: W, 42-21, ~7000, Don't think this game should be to difficult for GSU on the road. Hope to see a solid performance and most of the kinks worked out of the system.
Citadel: W, 31-20, 21000, The military brats from Chucktown always give GSU a hard time and this will be no different. But Eagles limit mistakes and hold them to field goals a few times.
at App St: L, 28-31, ~35000 (appy math
), This will be a tough game and I would hope GSU pulls off the win at the rock again, but advantage has to go to App. This will be another big game for both teams
I'm sure there will be questionable catch or call that will drive GSU fans insane.
Furman: W, 48-14, ~23000(w/ win at App) or 19000(after loss), the Purple pansies are on a downward trend that coninues and GSU could be looking for blood after giving up a close one to App. GSU brings the pain and Furman takes the heat.
Western Carolina: W, 56-17, ~21000. Another blowout against the cats. They simply stink and this year won't be any different. Homecoming boosts attendance.
at Elon: W, 34-17. Good performance from GSU, but nothing great. Just another win.
at Florida: L, 17-35. Typical of previous BCS matchups, GSU keeps it close for a 3 quarters, then the depth of the Gators (and some home cooking) gives them a nice cushion to coast in the 4th.
Would love this to be a win, just can't see it right now. Maybe UF will be down and GSU will be flying high and play lights out.
