Quote:Come the 2013 season the Sun Belt Conference will have a new look, as teams such as Georgia State, South Alabama and Texas State all join the conference to replace departed members. Appalachian State, Georgia Southern, Idaho and New Mexico State will all join in 2014. And if you're going to have new teams, you may as well have a new logo.

It also looks like their following the MWC's path in creating color combos for each school

I believe I remember Aresco saying something like that in an interview and I didnt really click to what he was talking about. Now I see. So, based on that, I expect we will see the AAC logo utilize that concept also.

Pac-12 and SEC also have logos in the colors of each member school.

So does the Big Sky. Think the different color schemes of conference logos is becoming the rule.

So I take it the idea is an idealized front end of a jet turbine engine, given that the Sunbelt has become an Airport Conference?

The ACC and CUSA also do it. I believe the MAC does also.

Each individual school's looks way better. The one for the entire conference looks like it belongs on a shampoo bottle.

Note it is divided into 12 sections which is the total number of eventual members by 2014. However, I am not impressed with the design of the logo. I bet they paid good money for it. I hope the AAC's logo is better then this.

Not bad. I'm guessing the new Sun Belt logo will blow the doors off the American Athletic Conference logo.

I also think the Sun Belt will be around longer than the AAC. Guess we'll see.

It looks like they stole the logo from the Big Ten.

It reminds me of what CUSA should call schools stolen from the SBC:
