Good God man. Rutgers will be lucky to finish above .500 in 2014. Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State and Michigan State all on the sched in Year 1.

RE: B1G releases 8 game 2014 schedule
Illibuck and Little Brown Jug both preserved in year 1.

Edit 1: Season ending games also about as expected. In addition to the ones about set in stone, we get:

1. Maryland vs. Rutgers
2. Penn State vs. Michigan State
3. Iowa vs. Nebraska
4. Minnesota vs. Wisconsin

These all already looked most likely, but it was possible you'd switch 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 somewhat. I'd have personally rotated 3 and 4 so we get Iowa vs. Minnesota and Wisconsin vs. Nebraska (both Wisconsin and Iowa have season ending history with Minnesota), but it looks fine as is.

Edit 2: Don't care for Penn State and Rutgers during week 3. I'd prefer all non-conference games (except maybe something like Penn State/Pitt or another existing rivalry) be played before any conference games. This one isn't a big deal as it might be for existing schedules as much as anything, but there has been talk of the Big Ten is starting to turn to earlier conference games and it would make sense they couldn't do anymore given schedules already in place.

Wisconsin doesn't have to play OSU, MSU, Michigan, or PSU in 2014 (until the CCG of course). They're toughest game will be Nebraska or Iowa.

They have the inverse schedule of Rutgers, who has on paper by far the hardest conference schedule in year 1.

RE: B1G releases 8 game 2014 schedule
Iowa scored Maryland and Indiana as their cross division games and they are in the West which is generally considered the easier division by folks. Anyone care to agree that Ferentz just got a handout from the conference?

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I had to have a look at that Rutgers schedule since I am pullin for the Knights to prove everyone wrong......why did I decide to do this? That schedule is a beast. You got the East schedule PLUS Wisconsin and Nebraska. Seriously...it is like every major program was pulling weight to get a game against Rutgers.

Scheduling Maryland and Rutgers for Wisconsin, what's up with that?

No surprise, that was always going to be the case. Good luck boys!

Hell yes!

I see 6 wins on that schedule, even with Ferentz at the helm.

I don't think Maryland or Rutgers will be bowl eligible for a few years.

If I had to guess it was part of the master plan to increase New York exposure in a big way.

Michigan has a pretty crappy home 2014 schedule:

Appalachian State
Miami (OH)
Utah
Minnesota
Penn St
Indiana
Maryland

I would say that is a pretty solid guess.

You are going to see that stadium of yours more filled than you have seen for quite some time when Ohio State comes to town.

I hope that new division of yours stirs up some excitement for the Program.

RE: B1G releases 8 game 2014 schedule
Holy crap. My guess for the PSU game being so early in the season is it was one of the previously scheduled ooc games and they decided to just leave it as is. Maybe Md becomes our end of season rivalry game. PSU, Mich, Whisky and Indy all at home. Finally my tickets will be worth something.

P.S. Rutgers should have started expanding the stadium as soon as the BIG announcement was made.

Did you go to ecu and UMD? If so, I'm curious how you handled that bowl game a few years back.
