Something to pass the time and maybe get a few people riled up...

Drop one, add one. Tell which school you would drop from your favorite conference and which team you would add in its place. Don't worry about contracts, GoRs... none of that. Just your opinion in a perfect world where everyone is available. The only rule is that the add school must be in a contiguous state to an existing school or at least make geographical sense (Hawaii to the PAC, for example). Oh, and keep it reasonable (i.e. no USC to the MWC).

I'll start. SEC - drop Miss. St., add UNC.

B1G: Drop Northwestern, Add Kentucky or Pittsburgh
AAC: Drop Tulane, Add Southern Miss

That's fine if people can't play nice. Since it is realignment related, I thought it fit here. No problem dropping it the first time someone gets catty. Bearcat was the first person that I have heard mention liking UK to the B1G. I'm kinda blushing

Like the geographical approach, and they add SUPER competitive sports in nearly every sport affiliated with the B1G (and football seems to be moving up). Plus they have a natural rivalry with IU, and would fit right in campus/student profile-wise with a lot of the B1G schools.

Geographically, UK and Mizzou did make perfect sense for the B1G before adding the eastern schools. I think the culture really isn't that far off, either (every fan base has its yahoos, and UK certainly has a larger portion than some... ignore them). UK is making major strides to up the research and education quality, too. Maybe in an alternate universe, it will happen!

Big East: Drop Seton Hall (sorry Pirates) Add UConn

For the Pac, the financially lucrative move would be Washington State out and Texas in. Practically, that has about as much chance of happening as Ohio State joining the SEC.

Big West - drop Cal State Northridge, add UNLV. If that doesn't work, add Denver.

AAC-Drop Tulane add USM

MWC- Drop SJSU, add UTEP

B1G - drop Minnesota, add Texas

SEC - Drop Mississippi State. Add Virginia Tech

Add one of: Florida, Penn State, Ohio State, UGA, or Alabama

Yeah, bad timing on adding SJSU when things looked bleak. Once SDSU and Boise came back on board, that 12th slot could have gone to UTEP.

I have thought for a while that Auburn would really be a great cultural fit in the ACC, especially with the Louisville add. Auburn fits like a glove with FSU, Ga. Tech, and Clemson especially.

I think your "add" is the exact same as every other conference! I still think the B1G should have taken Mizzou along with Nebraska if they foresaw a 14-16 team league, but hindsight is 20-20.
