Nancy Lieberman.....arguably the best player to ever play for the Lady Monarchs.....son just transferred to UofR.....does anyone know if he got any consideration for our program? If we didn't consider him that is disappointing.

He may not of gotten consideration due to the fact that he has to sit out a year. I'm fairly certain Jones wants someone that can come in and play immediately, and Cline wouldn't have gotten us that.

I can think of a bunch of reasons as to why it wasn't a good fit for both sides. The good news is that we are now in the final 2 for RJ Slawson.

Not only us she the greatest Lady Monarch she arguably THE legend of all BB here. It would be bad enough being compared to dad but to continually being compared to mom!!!???!!! Would you want to go someplace where every mistake leads to fans yelling, "mom was better than you!" or "have you ever gotten good enough to beat your mom?"

I'm kinda thinking that at UR he'll play here someday. He goes to the FT line and the crowd chants loudly "mom was better!" Of "Nancy, Nancy, Nancy..."

Or if he turned out good, he'd be 'Mama's Boy"

He's pretty tall....Hopefully, he will come to the Ted... Wonder if he is #10?

Yes, because ODU players constantly get heckled at the Ted. The only way heckling of this sort could come to fruition is if he went to another school that will play at the Ted.... like he did.

Is it just me, or do no family members of ODU players want to play at ODU?

Don't forget capel's own kids didnt come to odu either although I think Jeff jr might have already been at duke by then.

Jason turned us down for unc but one can hardly blame him for that.

Oh and now you can apparently add Stith's two kids who aren't going to come here although I totally commend him for raising his children like men and letting them make their own decisions.

Kudos to him for that.

Any good parent allows his/her children to pick a college where they are most comfortable. The only one of these I have a gripe about is Jason Capel; he stated he'd come to ODU to help dad. Dad sent him away, publicly, which was the right thing to do. Problem: As HC, how do you go into 3-4 star recruit's home and convince him ODU is the best place for them when you've sent your 4-star kid elsewhere despite what he said.

Valid point but I could see a player thinking this (a HC with a son on the team) as a reason not to join a team if the recruit suspects the HC's son is likely to get preferential treatment.

We didn't want to give Wykevin a scholarship. This was justified, IMO.
