2013 Football prospects
How are your teams looking heading toward the new season? I know there's a lot of skepticism about Weis as a coach, but KU does seem to be headed in the right direction after the slide at the end of Mangino's regime and the disaster under Gill.
We have a lot of JuCo players coming in as a short-term fix. I'm hopeful they'll make a difference in terms of quality and depth. QB is a big question mark. Heading into last season Crist was somewhat highly touted, but despite having the measurables he just seemed to be a half-second slow in game situations and had a very poor year.
Whether the Weis move is the right one, we do have a much greater emphasis on football than we've had for years. I do think that our fanbase will demand a winner (not necessarily a championship contender, but a team that will win games and not get embarrassed) before coming out in force, but I do think that despite being a "basketball school" there is potential for a lot of fan support of football as well.

RE: 2013 Football prospects
A lot of the kids that were not around for spring ball will probably be key contributors for WVU, especially among the WRs. Ask me this question again when they start fall practices. Right now I haven't a clue...
But if I had to guess, I'd say Shelton Gibson, Kevin White, Mario Alford, and Ronald Carswell will all make significant contributions once they hit campus and learn the playbook. We already know Dreamius Smith will be part of the RB rotation, and Stone Underwood will probably be the starting center...
As for the rest, your guess is as good as mine. Although if you guess Darrien Howard will make an impact for the defense, I think that would be a good guess...
