Anyone who knows me from HTC knows I have had a love/hate relationship with Pirate video. Now they put out a "trailer" for the 2013 football season that I do not get at all. Can someone tell me what I am missing, or is it just as strange as it seems to me?

Yeah I'm not a fan. Maybe there's a reference I'm missing...

Never watched any of the Iron Man movies. One of the heroes who just doesn't really appeal to me.

The voice overs kind of don't make sense to me.

That's what I'm saying. I got that it was taken from an actual movie trailer (though I didn't know which one) but I don't get how they were chosen or what they have to do with the Pirates or even football in general. Seems like someone was just a fan of Pirate football and Iron Man and decided to mix the two together for no apparent reason.

Unusual adaptation for sure.

It is edited together oddly. Perhaps, becuase Iron Man III was filmed in NC? Or, it could be a film student drawing parallels between Iron Man and Pirate Football? Highlights were great. The concept just didn't come through clearly, obviously.

Oh, well. Go Pirates!

IDK about the voice overs and stuff, but the video mashup is sick.

I actually enjoyed it a lot but then again I am an Iron Man fan and it clicked with me immediately. I like it because it is a little different than most of the season "hype" videos that are set to some rap song "flavor" of the season.

If you are a Iron Man fan, how did the movie portrayal of Extremis settle with you? I watched an animated 6-7 part Marvel series on Net Flix about a month before IM3 came out and they played the Extremis story differently on some key points. Since I saw that first it kind of clouded my judgement of how good Iron Man 3 was. Not saying the movie was bad, but its Extremis story line wasn't as interesting.

Almost as weird as that sound we played during the games last year from another movie (300?). The best sound bite we've ever used was the undertakers theme. Of course that was replaced though. Our video staff, marketing, and game day entertainment people are all terrible. Worst ive possibly ever seen. Compare the use of our video board and our videos we show to when we go play at unc and state this year and see the difference. I don't get pumped up seeing pee dee doing gayman style

I liked it, though was too long for 3rd downs. But, they do need to keep stand up and shout. That is kick ass and everyone knows what to do. The cut played at the games starts at about 28 seconds in.
