WG now at 985 wins
According to the latest weekly release, Coach is 15 wins shy of a major 1000 Rice wins plateau. Think we can make it this year?

It would take some postseason success...

He can do it without a championship, but what would be the fun in that?

BTW, in order to get him there this season, the shortest path (in days) would be winning out, sweeping the conf tourney, and a 4-1 record in the regional. We can still lose out the rest of our regular season and get there, but that would require one hell of a run through the postseason including multiple elimination games in the regional and initial CWS brackets (not to mention that the Conference tourney championship game would be an elimination game if we lost out for the rest of the regular season).

We cannot do it without at least winning a regional.

How ridiculous (in a good way) would it be if the CWS game to win it all was WG's 1000th win? One can hope...

That would require we win no more than 2 of our remaining 7 games, then win the conf tourney at 3-1, and not lose the first or second game of either the regional or the CWS bracket play.

I think merely winning his 1,000th IN Omaha would be poetic and be a great topic throughout the tournament.

Of course, I'd like to see it be the FIRST game in the which means he has 14 more before getting there.

I'd like him to win his 1008th in Omaha. Or whatever it takes to win the NC again.
