Please join your University of Toledo Alumni Association at a pre-game event on Saturday, August 31 in Gainesville, Florida when our Rockets take on the University of Florida Gators in the Swamp!

To make it easy for you and all Rocket fans to attend we’ve decided to make this a free event! The pre-game celebration will take place three hours before kickoff and will last for two hours. Kickoff time is TBD.

Join us for the complimentary buffet and cash bar before the game.

You can make your reservations by calling the UT Alumni Office at 419.530.2586 or 1.800.235.6766 or clicking the button above. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis and seating is limited to the first 300 people.

We wish to keep this event FREE now and in the future. If you make a reservation and your plans change, please cancel your reservation with us. Your UT Alumni Association and the University’s Office of Institutional Advancement will pay for your meal even if you are not there!

**Tickets for the UT vs. Florida football game on August 31, 2013 in Gainesville are available to purchase at the UT Athletic Ticket Office. To order your tickets please call 419.530.4653 or visit the ticket office and complete an order form. Tickets are $55 each and will be mailed at the end of July. There is a limit of four (4) tickets per order. UT students may also purchase tickets by visiting the ticket office and presenting their Rocket ID. ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY JUNE 28, 2013. Ticket limits and deadlines apply to all sales. Contact the Ticket Office for more information.

Great news Rocket fans! We've had such a fantastic response to our pre-game event in Gainesville (more than 250 reservations to date) that we have moved to the biggest ballroom in the Reitz Union. This larger venue will accommodate up to 440 people. For those who have made their reservations, thank you. Yes sir. Bring plenty of hats, sun screen with appropriate clothing for surving a steam room. We can also do without a bad storm. Yes, I experienced Toledo's Augusts for 29 years. Compared to The Swamp-a piece of cake.

I WILL be there and i am bringin my UT Rocket Cow Bells!!! Also, we are talking about Gainesville... that's like comparing the weather in Toledo to weather in Traverse City... the hot and muggy doesn't happen until you start getting to tampa...

However, i will have cold refreshing beers to ensure somewhat comfort...

@rocketpete - Having been to a dozen games at The Swamp during August/September and also having lived in Toledo for 5 years. I can vouch that The Swamp is MISERABLE.
