If you had both BC/Syracuse in your division, you wouldn't be happy either. Heck you aren't happy about the BC crossover already.
Why does every thread have to be about you not liking to play BC? You would think that they personally drag you behind the bus to Syracuse every year with the amount of complaining that they are in your division though you haven't actually played them yet.
There are two threads right now that were not about divisional realignment that have now been hijacked by this useless discussion.
Every possible arrangement of teams and every single scheduling scenario has been hashed out daily on this forum. Why hijack new threads instead of pulling up the hundreds of previous threads on this topic? It'd be nice if we could discuss new things.
Um the quote pulled was directly from the article in the original post.
The quote said that they've discussed it and decided not to change anything every time it has come up.
You found two new threads to talk **** about BC, Cuse, and the divisions though...which is really the only reason you come to this board so I'm sure this has made your day.
He is upset because he wants a 9 game conference schedule with two perm rivals because it would give FSU yearly games against Clemson (division), Miami (perm rival) and GT (perm rival) "without sacrificing OOC games." However, he feels that the current setup is "stupid" because it doesn't give FSU enough OOC games, even though it could give FSU yearly games against Clemson (division), Miami, and GT and more free OOC games than the 9-2 setup. He is further upset b ythe ACC's deal with ND. Apparently that the optional game against ND every 2.8 years cramps FSU's OOC schedule. He also claimed that the FSU's schedule is weak because of the ACC and then, in a subsequent post, claimed that if FSU scheduled tougher OOC games, their schedule would be too hard.
He is on this board for exactly 4 reasons, 1. troll, 2. complain about the ACC, 3. complain about SU, and 4. complain about BC.
He seems to be a college freshman/sophomore at FAU who is from Ohio but has family from Florida, and who is PO'd at the north for some reason (Civil War/bad experience/.../old GF). Unfortunately, there is nothing that you can say to him that will change that. It is what it is. :/
Actually I said I would want 9 conference games if the divisions went N/S. The divisions do matter to a league as a whole and the ACC's are the only ones that don't make sense. FSU shouldn't have to lose an OOC game for the ACC to do its job. I said going to 9 would be a compromise though if they would get the actual division that makes sense.
Now I personally would be fine with 9 if it meant GT was on the schedule every year. But from an FSU perspective, it makes sense to want the conference to do its job rather than sacrficing the revenue from an extra home game OOC because the ACC is too stupid to maximize its assets.
I never complained about FSU's OOC schedule being too hard. This in an example of you being an idiot and not knowing how to read properly. I said that every school has at least one cupcake game to get an extra home game OOC. If you play 4 competent opponents, none will agree wth you not visiting their stadium. Plus a team needs a break before a rivalry game sometimes. FSU is just now starting to do what UF has done for years. Schedule a cupcake before the rivalry game. Again if you could read, it would avoid confusion.
I actually want the most competition possible without sacrificing extra revenue. FSU can control OOC and are looking like they will have 3 tough opponents of the 4 which is really the most you can have to gain the most revenue. The ACC schedule however they can't control. That is up to the league to actually do what makes sense which is a foreign concept to ACC football.
As a fan of a team that hasn't played a down in the ACC, maybe you will see that in the future.
As for my personal stuff, I graduated a long time ago from college. I live in Ohio again, have family in NY and have no problem with the North or Midwest part of the US. That is way different than hating non regional football games in conference in a sport built around rivalries betwen teams from the same region. But hey if you would stop twisting words and talking out your ass it would be very nice.
If you want to get personal about me though, pm me. The forum isn't for that. That is juvenile to say the least which is funny since you are attempting to talk down to me while being the one that can't read properly.
