hopefully they can continue their success into the mac tournament in a few weeks and win the mac tournament. NIU last NCAA appearance was 1972.

Softball also defeated Toledo twice today.
Last 2 games are at home this weekend vs BGSU.
These are important as right now it looks like they would be the 4 seed if they don't lose 1 more than Miami this weekend. If they get a 4 seed then they get a first round bye and play the winner between Miami and the 8 seed.
If they lose 1 more than Miami then they will be a 5th seed and will have to play the 8 seed before playing Miami about 4hr later.
Overall a great job by the new head coach since last year they were not even in the tournament.
