If y'all beat Samford (although Chatty is probably better than Samford), you have a chance to be 3-1 (or 2-2) going into Alabama, and there is a 3-8 or 4-7 record, lose to Samford and 1-10 is a real possibility.

And most of the student body disagrees with this story. Somebody doesn't have a clue. On the other hand, this shows where we truly belong by who they compare us to; UGA and Tech. It's saying thats where we should be but why aren't we viewed that way? I think those in our great state just need to catch up with the changes that the past 10 years have offered at State.

I think anyone who asks high school students in Metro Atlanta what their opinions are regarding State will get a different perspective. The way they refer to Georgia State is certainly different than when I was in high school.

Hey, say what you want on the Sun Belt board to sugar coat it however you deem necessary.
Many of us in Eagle Nation know what y'all really think about the situation. All we have to do is take a stroll through the posts on PanterTalk.
I don't really feel I need to keep jabbing at you with the irons on this. So, I'm just gonna leave it at that. Well... that is... unless y'all decide to jump on the Georgia Southern bashing bandwagon again.
CAN'T WAIT to meet you in 2014! The same goes for you posters, too. Whether home or away, when the date approaches, I'll let you know where the gasoutherneagle has set up the tailgate. You're more than welcome to come by and have a cold one.

If you can't recognize a hit piece when you see it I am sorry. We live in Atlanta so we are used to it. I have never even heard of the website they got this from. It's typical of Atlanta reporting towards us. Welcome to bulldawg nation. 11 Alive puts this out there the same week our business school comes out highly ranked in yet another national ranking. To boot they interview a girl in a Georgia sweatshirt. LOL! They must have walked past 1000 kids in blue to get to her. Real subtle.

I think I said I was used to it. You guys should be too. This is a non story and certainly not worthy of having the link posted in three threads. I imagine you guys will feel the passive aggression of media now too.

As a high school teacher, I would tend to agree with this. I am a career teacher, so a lot of my topics have college involved in it. The amount of interest in Georgia State is 3 or 4 times what it was when I was in high school (graduated in 02). I think the rep of your school improved greatly, just like ours. UGA and GT still dominate, but they are not what they used to be in graduating seniors eyes.

I see a lot of Georgia Southern front plates in the Northeast Metro Atlanta areas of Fulton & Gwinnett counties, but very few Georgia State.
I always liked the idea of Georgia State starting football, in no way did I or do I view GState as a threat to Georgia Southern. So, y'all being an in state program, like thUGA, and GTech, I'm for yah till you play us.
Y'all did have a bunch of those MARTA bus stop ads, and an occasional bill board, but still not much.
Oh well Atlanta is UGA's town anyway, just ask a Tech fan.

You're a doctoral student. You know better than to say "most of the student body disagrees" without backing that up with research. You will NEVER get where you truly "belong" until students actually want to ATTEND State.
Percent-yield.

The only thing I don't like about Southern is our transfer-out rate (thanks to HOPE for making it tough to get into UGAy as a HS senior.) And why do they transfer out? UGAy = sexy to them. We suffer from the unsexy thing too, but even with that atrocious rate, we still have a better 4-year grad rate than State.
And a football team worth watching.
Don't worry state fans, the obsession will end with our first victory over you in 2014.

Really? Will it? I still don't understand why the stalker obsession exists to begin with. Might be time to call a Dr because you guys have had that condition for well over 4 hours.
