Hampton Inn and Suites
Not sports related, but does anyone have an update on the Hampton Inn and Suites that was supposed to be be built in DeKalb? Is that project still moving forward?

It's under construction as we speak....uh, type. Haven't heard a completion date but I'm guessing this fall, hopefully in time for IHS playoff games.

I think off of Annie Glidden next to the bank by Schnucks.

One block closer to campus...just to the North of the bank.

There was a full crew working on the foundation both Saturdays of the Spring game and Huskie Bowl.

That area really needs a gas station. Getting gas at the station by IHOP is nuts to get in or out of and the BP always seems out of the way.

Schnucks planned on a gas station when they first presented their plans but since have backed off..

I wonder if they are getting the business there that they were expecting when opening. Kinda seemed not busy when I was in school and there after in DeKalb.

Not as slow as the new Jewel on Peace in Sycamore. Although they've picked up since Browns closed, leaving no grocery store in Genoa at all. The Browns in Genoa is going to reopen as a Piggly Wiggly I hear.
