Hell yeah! 04-cheers

Our AD has said that we've already bid on softball, and will on baseball.

How amazing would that be for South to host a regional in both sports?!

Hopefully we will actually get to HOST in Mobile. The NCAA made us a number one seed...hosting at the number 2 seed Notre Dame. The NCAA has screwed us time and time again on seeding. We've never had a home game in the tournament (even when we were ranked in the top 10). I'll believe the home games when I see it.

Our AD is on the Selection Committee now. We have been a number 1 seed with Clemson hosting too. We always get the shaft. Hopefully now we have Erdmann in our corner and we get it.

RE: Latest SEBaseball projections
Anyone else notice who South Alabama's regional would be paired with for Super Regionals? You guessed it, LSU... which is where UL is projected.

Wouldn't that be something if both USA and UL win their regionals and meet up in Mobile for a Super Regional and a 100% chance of getting a Sun Belt team to the CWS?! Lot of baseball to be played, but it's cool to think about if it actually shook out this way.

Baton Rouge Regional
Host: LSU {3}
1. LSU 39-6 #3 (SEC at large)
4. Jackson State 26-18 #257 (SWAC Auto)
2. Louisiana 31-14 #24 (SBC at large)
3. Baylor 24-20 #55 (B12 at large)

Mobile Regional
Host: South Alabama
1. South Alabama 34-12 #14 (SBC Automatic)
4. South Florida 29-15 #77 (BE Auto)
2. Mississippi State 33-13 #11 (SEC at large)
3. Southern Miss 24-19 #84 (CUSA Auto)

Obviously he would not be allowed in discussions regarding South Alabama, but doesn't hurt for the rest of the committee to know he is standing outside in the hallway when talking about it.

If the top of the conference holds true the remainder of the season and all four -- ULL, USA, Troy and FAU -- don't get it, whoever gets left out will have a legitimate gripe.

If South gets through the rest of its schedule with enough wins to put them in position for a host, they certainly have the facility to host it and would hope they would get it. Only thing that might hurt them is the sweep at Florida Atlantic.

Good luck to all!

Only thing WKU can do is play spoiler at this point....Apparently our team only comes to play at home and against really good teams.....A very head scratching year for WKU baseball when you look at who we have beaten and than turn around and see some of the losses we have....Hate to say this but the last year in a half with this coach, I would not be suprised if we just ended the season on a collapse and or losing streak....

Same with MTSU, 4-1 against the SEC including a win over #2 Vandy, yet we are in the cellar of the belt right now. Simply put, this is a TOUGH baseball league.

This is the first time we've had the facility and the team to host a regional.

I was wondering this earlier today. Anyone know? I have to admit, a trip to Tallahassee sounds perfect for Troy fans if that happens.

Usually between $12 to $20 depending on where. All in all though, it's an affordable thing to go to. I've been to every regional UL has played in for the past 15 years and they are all a blast to go to. Win or lose you will have a good time.

Actually, I did notice that, and thought the very same thing. Would definitely be awesome to see a super regional between the two of us. Talk about a packed out stadium, and I know y'all would represent well.

First things first though - we've got 9 conference games left, and then the tourney. I think to have any chance at hosting, we've got to win the tourney, or at least make a really good showing and have several upsets in other tourneys. Lot of baseball left between then and now though.
